Minimum Water You Need per Day During an Outage

During times of critical water shortage, or during a water supply interruption, what is the minimum amount of water you would need per day, for just the basic household needs (hygiene, cooking, drinking) in your home?

This estimate excludes “luxuries” such as showers or baths, or watering the garden, or anything like that. It focuses on the minimum requirements during a water crisis of some sort.
